The Blizzard defeat the Steel 2-1

The Alexandria Blizzard's offense had a big night, peppering the New Ulm Steel with 32 shots throughout the game. The Alexandria Blizzard took the lead late in the third on a goal from Riley Scanlon.

Josiah Roen did his part, adding 2 assists.

In the first period, Lindgren opened the scoring for Alexandria with a goal at 0:20 with helpers from his linemates, Roen and Nelson.

In the second, Kjome answered for the Steel with a goal at 5:39 with assists from his teammates Nagel and Coppock.

In the third, Scanlon answered for the Blizzard with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 17:15 with helpers from Johnson and Roen.

Alexandria’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Meyers’ big night as he stopped 32 of the 33 shots he faced. Meyers’ counterpart, Kenny, also had a big night, managing to stop 30 of 32, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Alexandria Blizzard’s record to (11-10-0-0).
