The Blizzard crushed the Steel 4-1

Brady Meyers came up big, stopping 30 of 31 shots throughout the game. The Alexandria Blizzard took the lead late in the second on a goal from Alec Skar.

Logan Nelson delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Alec Skar had a busy night with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the second, Storlie opened the scoring for New Ulm with a goal at 10:24 with helpers from his teammates Mordini and Kreuser. Payne finally put Alexandria on the board with a goal at 16:06 with helpers from his linemates, Nelson and Giorgio. Skar netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 19:58 with assists from Nelson and Giorgio.

In the third, Nelson deposited a goal at 7:29 with helpers from Mellstrom and Skar. Roen scored a goal at 11:33 with an assist from his linemate Meister.

The Blizzard’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Meyers’ big night as he stopped 30 of the 31 shots he faced. Meyers’ counterpart, Kenny, also had a big night, managing to stop 37 of 41, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Alexandria Blizzard’s record to (24-13-0-1).
