The Blizzard crushed the North Stars 8-3

Kyle Hayden came up big, stopping 32 of 35 shots throughout the game. The Alexandria Blizzard took the lead late in the first on a goal from Luke Benson and never looked back.

Logan Nelson did his part, adding 2 goals and Luke Benson had a busy night with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist). Austin Langworthy delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first, Nelson opened the scoring for the Blizzard with a goal at 1:44 with helpers from his linemates, Carey and Dahlseide. Scanlon deposited a goal at 3:57 with helpers from his linemates, Dropik and Roen. Benson put in a goal at 13:45 with assists from his linemates, Frerichs and Worley. Benson netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 17:21 with helpers from teammates Skar and Worley.

During the second period, Langworthy finally put Breezy Point on the board with a goal at 10:19.

In the third, Roen answered for the Blizzard with a goal at 1:10 with assists from Dropik and Skar. Nelson scored a goal at 4:59 with helpers from Tschida and Dahlseide. Kram answered for the North Stars with a goal at 9:20. Roen quickly followed with a goal at 11:13 with assists from his linemates, Carey and Scanlon. Frerichs quickly followed with a goal at 13:09 with helpers from his linemates, Benson and Worley. Heckaman answered for Breezy Point with a goal at 17:33 with assists from Fladebo and Langworthy.

Alexandria’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Hayden’s big night as he stopped 32 of the 35 shots he faced. Hayden’s counterpart, Moore, also had a big night, managing to stop 35 of 43, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Alexandria Blizzard’s record to (5-5-0-0).
