SIVETS MAKES ACHA COMMITMENT

Apr 30, 2020

The Alexandria Blizzard of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Evan Sivets has committed to play ACHA hockey for Iowa State University.

Sivets, 20, is in his second season playing junior hockey and his first season with the Blizzard. The 5’10/160 lbs. native of Medina, Minnesota, had 16 points (6 goals, 10 assists) in 41 games played during the 2019-20 season.

Sivets started the season with the North Iowa Bulls and was acquired by the Blizzard via trade. Sivets spent his first season of junior hockey in Florida where he registered 10 points in 42 games played.

“We are very proud of Evan and his commitment to develop and earn his spot at the next level.  Evan came in about a third of the way through the season and provided the team with veteran leadership and set an example with his outstanding work ethic. He showed up every day ready to go and competed at a high level.  We look forward to watching Evan continue to grow and develop at Iowa State,” said Blizzard head coach Jeff Crouse.
