5 Goal 3rd Period Gives the Blizzard Big Win Over Moose
There were plenty of shots on goal in the opening period by both teams but the goalies keep the game scoreless until the opening minutes of the 2nd period when the Moose scored at the 18:17 mark and later doubled their lead at the 5:55 mark making it a 0-2 game into the 2nd intermission.
Chase Collings got the Blizzard on the board in the 3rd period on a play from Svangstu and Foley at the 16:42 mark with Grady Stallman scoring seconds later unassisted to tie the game at 2. The Moose regained the lead shortly after at the 11:33 mark but the Blizzard answered back with 3 unanswered goals. Wyatt Mineheine got the game tying goal from Krieg and Waller and Thomas Foley netted the go ahead goal on a pass from Stallman. With 8 seconds remaining Zach Benson sealed the win with Foley and Boughton earning the assist.
Jayden Serene stopped 31 of 34 in the victory.
