ALEXANDRIA, Minn.–The Alexandria Blizzard and Dynamic 14 are holding a logo design contest for their game against the Russian Red Stars on December 19, 2011.
The contest will provide a great opportunity for local residents to get involved with this hallmark event for the community of Alexandria. It is open to all ages so everyone is encouraged to participate.
The winning design will be used as the official logo of “Alexandria’s Miracle Match-up” and be featured on the event’s promotional materials. The designer of that logo will be awarded a package of Blizzard season tickets and merchandise.
Entries will be accepted up until 11:59 p.m. November 23, 2011. On November 26th, the winner will be announced at the Blizzard’s home game against the Austin Bruins hosted by Dynamic 14. The Russian Red Stars are an all-star team from Russia’s permier junior hockey league, the MHL. The Red Stars will be playing several teams during its North American tour including several NCAA Division I teams such as UND Fighting Sioux, Notre Dame, Yale, and more. Alexandria Blizzard will be the only team in Minnesota to host the Red Stars and will wear replica 1980 USA Olympic jerseys during the game.
