Saturday marked the Blizzard's exhibition game against St. John's University JV in Willmar. In front of an energetic full house, the Blizzard got into penalty trouble in the first period, coming off of the ice with a 2-0 disadvantage. Intermission entertainment for the night was brought by the Mite skaters of the Willmar, Benson, and River Lakes Hockey Associations. In the second period, the Blizzard boys played better and gained some momentum before heading into the third period where they brought their game to the Johnnies. With many scoring chances, Tony Arias finally found the back of the net on a hard drive. The effort unfortunately wasn't enough, as SJU scored again to end the game 3-1.
