GRADY STALLMAN ERUPTS FOR 5 GOALS FRIDAY

Zacary Norberg got the Wilderness on the board first Friday night at Iron Trail Motors Event Center before the Blizzard would go onto score 6 unanswered goals. Grady Stallman scored his first of the year at the 7:07 mark of the 1st with the assist going to Blake Breiland and would go onto net his 2nd goal at the 13:43 mark of the 2nd on a play from Hubmer and Schmit. A few minutes later Reece Hubmer added an unassisted goal with Tyler Meyer adding his own goal shortly after with Friborg and Schmit earning the assist. Grady Stallman would net his 3rd of the game at the 7:20 mark with Hubmer earning the assist. The Blizzard and Wilderness would trade power play goals to open the 3rd period with Stallman’s 4th from Waller and Bisset and Flatley for the Wilderness. Ethan Jacobson netted the 3rd goal for the Wilderness before Stallman beat the Wilderness netminder for the 5th time on a play from Waller. Serene stopped 18 of 21 for the Blizzard with the Blizzard putting 40 SOG.

Following Friday nights theme, the Wilderness opened up the scoring with Stratton Maas netting a powerplay goal in the first period Saturday night. The Alexandria Blizzard came to life in the middle period with Kaden Roness opening the scoring for the Blizzard at the 13:24 mark and Caleb Waller scoring on the PP shortly after with Zgoda and Smidt earning the assist. Tyler Meyer scored halfway through the period from Foley and Weir and Grady Stallman netted 2 powerplay goals less than a minute apart to give the Blizzard a 5-1 lead. Bisset and Breiland earned the assist on the 1st PP with Waller earning the lone assist on the 2nd. The Wilderness came out hot for the 3rd period kicking off the scoring was Tiedeman and Maas netting powerplay goals and Denoyer cutting the lead to one late into the 3rd period. The Blizzard were able to answer with a powerplay goal of their own in the final seconds with Connor Zgoda sealing the win for the Blizzard to make it 6-4 with Adam Holien stopping 26 of 30 shots and the Blizzard managing 29 SOG.
