Alexandria played 3 home games in a row this weekend, taking 2 out of 3 and in doing so wrapped up home ice for the 1st round of the playoffs.
Friday night they were fueled by Justin Kingery’s Hat Trick en route to a 7-2 victory over New Ulm. Kingery finished with 4 points to lead all scorers. Michael Debrito had 3 assists, and Ryan Hadland scored twice. Ashton Collings, Charlie Larsen, and Matt McIntyre all had multi point games as well. Konrad Kausch made 37 saves and got the win in net.
Saturday the Blizzard shutout the Loons 4-0 on the heels of Kyle Abrahamson’s 33 save performance. Joe Gronholz led the way with 2 goals. Wyatt Johnson, and Michael Debrito picked up 2 assists each.
Sunday night the Blizzard came up short in a 6-3 loss to New Ulm despite unloading 54 shots on net. The Blizzard got goals from Bazl Cook, Aidan Prochaska, and Calvin Knight, but were playing catch up all night and just couldn’t find their groove.
