The Blizzard recorded a shutout against the Steel 5-0 in home game

The Alexandria Blizzard's defense had a poor night, allowing the New Ulm Steel 28 shots throughout the game. The New Ulm Steel took the lead late in the first on a goal from Oliver Hoeschen and never looked back.

Luc Kreuser delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Ryan Smith contributed with 2 assists.

In the first, Hoeschen opened the scoring for the Steel with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 15:32 with helpers from his teammates Woytcke and Wieben. Kreuser quickly followed with a goal at 16:33 with helpers from his linemates, Langworthy and Smith.

In the second, Heiser put in a goal at 6:38 with assists from Kreuser and Smith. Reilly netted a goal at 8:44 with a helper from Langworthy. Miller quickly followed with a goal at 9:49 with an assist from his linemate Johnson.

This loss brings the Alexandria Blizzard’s record to (1-2-0-0).
