ALEXANDRIA, Minn.—The Alexandria Blizzard will go head to head with the Aberdeen Wings as they wrap up their tour on the road Friday at 7:15 in the Odde Ice Center.
When it comes to the Wings, who have a 4-5 record, Seth Ronsberg, a Blizzard forward, said the routine of the Blizzard won’t change along with their strategy for winning games.
“We’re not looking for anything special. We know we’ll have to work hard and we have been preparing for it all week. It’s going to be a greasy road win for us,” Ronsberg said.
After the long road trip, the Blizzard, with a 2-3-1 record, will head back to play the Wings in front of their home crowd Saturday.
“Everyone is pretty excited, were looking forward to the weekend. Whenever you’re down with a losing record everybody always gets it together and their main focus is winning games. I think going into this weekend we have the right mindset,” said veteran Blizzard Jacob Meyers.
While being on the road, Blizzard fans can catch the live viewing party Friday at Bug-A-Boo Bay located at 2800 N Nokomis Alexandria, MN 56308. The Blizzard and Wings will face-off at 7:15 p.m.
The Blizzard will then come back to Alexandria to skate in front of their home crowd for the first time this season.
“I’m looking forward to seeing a lot of fans there, being really loud and cheering us on to victory,” said Ronsberg.
The puck will drop Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Runestone Community Center.
