The Willmar WarHawks found the back of the net first at the 9:20 mark of the 1st period on a goal from Spencer Bergman. The Blizzard responded with their own goal at the 12:34 mark from Eli Paloranta with Jack Carter getting the assist. Both teams failed to connect during the 2nd period and it wasn’t until the 14:22 mark of the third until Justin Wasvick was able to get one past Jesse Easterwood for the game winning goal. Eli Fletcher and Jackson Miller earned the assist on the GWG.
LaCosse made 23 of 24 saves on the night with the Blizzard having a 38 to 24 advantage on shots on goal.
