Twin City uses early goal to top Alexandria, 2-0

Twin City took the lead against Alexandria in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 2-0 victory.

Nicholas Campbell provided Twin City with the game-winning tally when he scored 18:38 into the first period. Marc Sahli picked up the assist.

Twin City was boosted by Nathan Siclovan, who turned in a shutout with 27 saves. Siclovan certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.02 entering the contest.

Twin City was sparked by Campbell, who racked up one goal.

Twin City stifled Alexandria\’s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Twin City did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Twin City averages 4.7 goals per game.

Joe Costello also scored for Twin City. More assists for Twin City came via Jared Erickson, who had one.

Alexandria excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Alexandria could not produce up to its normal offensive output. Alexandria puts an average of 3.8 pucks into the net per game.

Twin City incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Derrick LaCombe recorded 28 saves for Alexandria. Alexandria incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
