The Blizzard struggled against the Steel 4-1 in home game

The Alexandria Blizzard's defense had a poor night, allowing the New Ulm Steel 35 shots throughout the game. The New Ulm Steel took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Kirk Coppock and never looked back.

Ryan Smith chipped in with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Luc Kreuser delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

During the first period, Smith opened the scoring for the Steel with a goal at 2:50 with helpers from his linemates, Langworthy and Kreuser. Coppock netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 5:25 with a helper from his teammate Reilly. Nelson finally put Alexandria on the board with a goal at 12:00 with assists from Meister and Johnson. Kreuser answered for the Steel with a goal at 14:42 with helpers from Mordini and Smith.

In the third, Langworthy scored a goal at 18:16 with assists from his linemates, Smith and Kreuser.

This loss brings the Alexandria Blizzard’s record to (19-12-0-1).
