The Blizzard shutout the Freeze 4-0

The Alexandria Blizzard's offense had a big night, peppering the La Crosse Freeze with 45 shots throughout the game, to go along with Michael Hughes' shutout. The Alexandria Blizzard took the lead late in the second on a goal from Riley Meyer.

Alex Bowe chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Riley Meyer contributed with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

During the second period, Meyer opened the scoring for Alexandria with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 16:48 with helpers from teammates Bowe and Giller. Norman put in a goal at 19:00 with helpers from his linemates, Giller and Meyer.

During the third period, Bowe deposited a goal at 7:36 with assists from Giller and Meyer. Lindfors netted a goal at 15:53 with assists from Payne and Nilson.

The Blizzard’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Hughes’ shutout, as he stopped all 33 of the shots he faced. Hughes’ counterpart, Graves, also had a big night, managing to stop 41 of 45, but ultimately fell short.
