The Blizzard recorded a shutout against the Steel 5-0 in home game

The Alexandria Blizzard's defense had a poor night, allowing the New Ulm Steel 46 shots throughout the game. The New Ulm Steel took the lead late in the second on a goal from Alex Egle.

Jared Erickson delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the second period, Egle opened the scoring for the Steel with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 19:10 with helpers from his teammates Erickson and Witta.

In the third, Billing deposited a goal at 3:16 with an assist from defenseman Mickelson. Erickson put in a goal at 10:46 with helpers from Woytcke and Campbell. Nagel netted a goal at 12:47 with assists from Belisle and Storlie. Wenner scored a goal at 18:46 with a helper from his linemate Padley.

This loss brings the Alexandria Blizzard’s record to (34-16-0-3)
