During the second period, Bolstad opened the scoring for Willmar with a goal at 3:22 with helpers from his linemates, Oelkers and Dixon. Payne answered for the Blizzard with a goal at 7:51 with helpers from his linemates, Nelson and Hermann. Payne quickly followed with a goal at 8:30 with assists from his linemates, Hermann and Nelson. Nelson netted a goal at 11:29 with helpers from his teammates Worley and Tschida.
In the third, Bolstad answered for Willmar with a goal at 3:44 with assists from Swope and Roach. Cooper quickly followed with a goal at 5:29 with a helper from fellow WarHawks forward Holt. Dixon netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 9:05 with assists from Toll and Bolstad.
This loss brings the Alexandria Blizzard’s record to (27-14-1-1).
