Meyers Brady came up big, stopping 42 of 45 shots throughout the game. The Alexandria Blizzard took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Payne Brenden.
Nelson Logan contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Meister Brett had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Josh Maucieri delivered for his team with 2 assists.
During the first, Fladebo opened the scoring for the North Stars with a goal at 7:55 with helpers from his linemates, Langworthy and Hoyt. Borseth quickly followed with a goal at 8:47 with helpers from his teammates Steffan and Maucieri. Logan finally put the Blizzard on the board with a goal at 11:05 with assists from Alec and Brett.
In the second period, Brett netted a goal at 3:11 with a helper from Brenden. Josiah scored a goal at 7:42 with assists from Logan and Jack.
In the third, Flicek answered for Breezy Point with a goal at 10:32 with helpers from his linemates, Parisien and Maucieri. Brenden answered for the Blizzard with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:26 with an assist from defenseman Alec. Alec netted a goal at 19:59 with a helper from Tanner.
Alexandria’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Brady’s big night as he stopped 42 of the 45 shots he faced. Brady’s counterpart, Moore, also had a big night, managing to stop 26 of 30, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Alexandria Blizzard’s record to (35-14-0-3).
