The Blizzard defeat the Freeze 6-4

The Alexandria Blizzard's offense had a big night, peppering the La Crosse Freeze with 41 shots throughout the game. The Alexandria Blizzard took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Emil Lindfors.

Emil Lindfors chipped in with 2 goals and Riley Meyer delivered for his team with 2 goals. Jp Eykyn did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Hunter Dolan contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Anderson opened the scoring for the Blizzard with a goal at 9:04 with helpers from teammates Payne and Nilson. Lindfors quickly followed with a goal at 9:43 with helpers from Nilson and Anderson.

During the second period, Payne deposited a goal at 2:07 with assists from Bowe and Nelson. Meyer scored a goal at 8:40 with helpers from Giller and Nilson. Lindfors quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 9:57 with assists from Mann and Nilson. Meyer netted a goal at 13:26 with helpers from Mellstrom and Carey. Wolter finally put the Freeze on the board with a goal at 15:36 with assists from Hazlett and Dolan.

During the third period, Briley deposited a goal at 2:02 with helpers from his linemates, Toycen and Eykyn. Eykyn quickly followed with a goal at 2:43 with an assist from defenseman Lanz. Dolan netted a goal at 18:11 with helpers from his linemates, Schultz and Goggin.

The Blizzard’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Effertz’s big night as he stopped 22 of the 25 shots he faced. Effertz’s counterpart, Wagner, also had a big night, managing to stop 35 of 41, but ultimately fell short.
