The Blizzard defeat the Freeze 3-1

The Alexandria Blizzard's offense had a big night, peppering the La Crosse Freeze with 29 shots throughout the game. The Alexandria Blizzard took the lead late in the first on a goal from Brenden Payne and never looked back.

Ryan Worley contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first, Roen opened the scoring for Alexandria with a goal at 15:54 with helpers from Lindgren and Sanborn. Payne quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 16:24 with an assist from his teammate Worley.

In the second, Worley put in a goal at 14:55 with helpers from Carey and Skar.

During the third period, Bettis finally put La Crosse on the board with a goal at 14:43 with assists from Magnavite and Ratzloff.

The Blizzard’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Meyers as he stopped 23 of the 24 shots he faced. Meyers’ counterpart, Silverstein, also had a big night, managing to stop 26 of 29, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Alexandria Blizzard’s record to (9-10-0-0).
