Graves stymies Alexandria, La Crosse wins 4-1

Will Graves had a standout game with 33 saves, and La Crosse beat Alexandria 4-1.

Jared Bromberg had one goal and two assists to lead La Crosse. Bromberg scored 17:03 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Brady Thiering provided the assist.

La Crosse excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Team\’s forwards weren\’t the only contributers offensively, and the team\’s defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

La Crosse also had goals scored by Justin Edwards, Ben Henderson, and Sam Dabrowski, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for La Crosse were Alexander Rickoff, Hunter Dolan, and Taylor Trapp, who contributed one each.

La Crosse was unable to stop Alexandria from sending pucks towards the net, and Alexandria eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

Alexandria was led by Alec Seeger, who scored the team\’s only goal. Seeger scored 12:22 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Alexandria. Riley Holwegner assisted on the tally.

La Crosse incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Chance Kremer made 21 saves for Alexandria on 24 shots. Alexandria incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
