Frischmon’s big game bests Minnesota in 7-3 Alexandria win

Behind a great game by Tyler Frischmon, who had two goals and one assist, Alexandria defeated Minnesota, 7-3.

Frischmon\’s tallies came on the power play at 14:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Alexandria and on the power play 17:41 into the first to make the score 3-0 Alexandria.

Alexandria forced Minnesota goalie Dakota McDonald to work between the pipes, taking 53 shots. Alexandria\’s goal total was higher than its season average. This season, Alexandria averages 3.8 goals per contest.

Alexandria additionally got points from Logan Nelson, who also had one goal and one assist, AJ Gullickson, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Alec Seeger, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Connor Nilson, who also registered one goal and one assist. Logan Norman also scored for Alexandria. More assists for Alexandria came via Aaron Ryback, who had two, Caleb Anderson, who had three, and Trent Olson, Mason Hautala, Tony Arias, and Trey Greene, who contributed one each.

Minnesota\’s McDonald stopped 46 shots out of the 53 that he faced. Minnesota incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
