Breezy Point survived a determined comeback attempt by Alexandria on the way to a 2-1 win.
Breezy Point made the score 2-0 on a goal by Austin Langworthy at 18:17 in the second period, and Alexandria got as close as 2-1 when Jacob Odegard scored 2:00 into the third period.
Breezy Point was led by goalie Wes Paupore, who finished with 43 saves while allowing one goal. Paupore managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.77 prior to the game.
Breezy Point excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in nine chances. Breezy Point could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.
