BLIZZARD SWEEP WAUSAU

Alexandria took to the road this weekend and came home with a sweep at the hands of the Wausau Cyclones.
Friday night the Blizzard were relentless all night scoring 3 goals in the first, 3 more in the 2nd, and then capping off the 3rd period with 4 goals for a 10-2 victory. Jack Whitmore led 3 Blizzard players with 4 point nights including Michael Debrito in his return, and newcomer Hayden Demars. 15 Blizzard players tallied a point in the resounding win, and another newcomer Konrad Kausch made 20 saves for the victory in net.
Saturday night was much the same as the Blizzard unloaded 70 shots on net en route to a 6-1 victory. 11 Blizzard players made it on the scoresheet led by Sean Kenny’s 4 point night scoring his 17th and setting up 3 others. Mitch Miscevich, the former Cyclone got the victory in net against his old mates. The Blizzard power play came alive this weekend connecting on 7 of 16 man advantages.
Alexandria (27-10-0-2 – 56 pts) has a big home and home weekend coming up against Granite City. Friday night’s game is in Sauk Rapids at 7:30, and Saturday the Blizzard host the Lumberjacks at 7:10 pm. Click the ticket tab on the home page for your tickets or tune into hockeytv.com
