WALLER SETS FRANCHISE RECORDS
The Blizzard held Billet Appreciation Night Friday at the RCC and Waller got the Blizzard on the board at the 11:07 mark of the 1st on a play from Mineheine and Stallman. Quickly into the 2nd period at the 18:11 mark the Wilderness tied that game at 1-1 before Alexandria answered back with two goals. Carpenter netted a goal at the 17:10 mark from Breiland and Boughton with Stallman making it 3-1 Blizzard at the 10:56 mark on a play from Waller and Mineheine. Shortly after the Wilderness cut the Blizzard lead to one at the 10:01 mark with the Blizzard once again answering at the 5:29 mark when Roness connected on a Krieg and Hubmer pass. The 3rd remained scoreless late into the period until Lazo scored on a play from Kreig and Meyer for the 5-2 Friday night victory.
Saturday was Family Appreciation Night with the Blizzard looking to finish the weekend sweep. Waller remained hot and got the Blizzard on the board at the 15:01 mark from Stallman and Krieg and Carpenter made it 2-0 at the 5:45 mark from Krieg and Hubmer. Waller once again started off the period in the 2nd netting another goal with Krieg earning the only assist. Midway through the 2nd, the Wilderness got on the board at the 12:35 mark making it a 3-1 game with Hubmer scoring a late period goal making it 4-1 heading into the 3rd. At the 14:22 mark Stallman scored on a play from Lazo and Schmit with Waller adding another at the 10:51 mark from Stallman. Shortly after, Breiland made it a 6-1 game with Carpenter and Krieg earning the assists and the Wilderness would add their second of the night late with 42 seconds left. Blizzard skated off with the 7-2 victory for Viking Coca-Cola poster night.
