BLIZZARD SPLIT WITH MOOSE AND GRIZZLIES

With a lone game Saturday, the Blizzard went one goal down on a Johnson goal for the MN Moose at the 2:49 mark of the 1st period but took advantage of a power play goal to tie the game. Grady Stallman scored his ninth of the year on a PP from Easton Schmit and Caleb Waller midway through the 2nd period. Both teams were unable to net the game winner in regulation and the Blizzard fell 2-1 in a shootout . Jayden Serene stopped 39 of 40 during regulation and OT.

Wednesday was Faith & Family night at the RCC presented by Aargard with Blake Breiland getting the Blizzard on the board at the 2:47 mark of the 1st on a power play from Caleb Waller and Easton Schmit. The Grizzlies quickly tied the game in the 2nd on a Ludvigsen goal but Caleb Waller was able to net another PPG at the 4:41 mark to regain the lead from Easton Schmit and Dillan Smidt. The Grizzlies and Blizzard would exchange 3rd period goals with Johnson scoring for the Grizzlies at the 9:51 mark and Blake Breiland from Conner Zgoda and Ethan Boughton at 4:41 in the 3rd. Caleb Waller added his second power play goal of the game unassisted at the 2:57 mark and Grady Stallman secured the win with a play from Zach Benson and Caleb Waller with 2 minutes remaining. Jayden Serene earned the win stopping 27 of 29 shots.

Blizzard are on the road this weekend facing Granite City Friday and Willmar on Saturday.
