The Alexandria Blizzard faced the Great Falls Americans on day two of the NA3HL Showcase in Blaine. Eli Fletcher opened the scoring for the Blizzard with an unassisted goal at the 7:45 mark of the first period netting his 15th of the season. The Americans responded with a goal of their own from Perez at the 11:03 mark sending the teams to the locker rooms tied at one a piece. Justin Wasvick regained the lead for the Blizzard with a quick second period goal on a play from Zach Benson and Ethan Boughton for his 16th goal of the season. It wasn’t until the 16:17 mark that Karsten Senden scored on the PP with the insurance goal putting the Blizzard up 3-1 with Eli Fletcher and Justin Wasvick getting the helpers. Neither side was able to produce any goals in the third period as the Blizzard moved to 2-0 at the NA3HL Showcase.
The final game of the Showcase has the Blizzard facing the Wausau Cyclones Tuesday at 12:30 on NSC Rink 6. Admission is free to fans, we’ll see you there!
