Alexandria played just one game this weekend as they traveled to Breezy Point on Friday night looking for redemption after a tough loss to the Minnesota Loons back on October 1st.

The Blizzard were powered by four goals with the man advantage and cruised to an 8-1 victory. Matt McIntyre opened the scoring for the Blizzard at the 5:42 mark of the 1st period off an assist from Ryan Hadland. Joe Gronholz got the power play rolling with a goal late in the 1st with assists from Wyatt Johnson and Matt Scribner. The Loons scored early in the 2nd period to pull within a goal, but the Blizzard responded with 6 unanswered goals scoring three in the 2nd and three in the 3rd to close out their 4th straight win and 2nd straight on the road. Chris Brown made 34 saves for the victory in his Blizzard debut. Ryan Hadland led all scorers with 3 points (2G, 1A), and the Blizzard got multi point games from Kaden Peterson, Matt Scribner, Ben Tschida, Wyatt Johnson, Michael Debrito, and their team scoring leader Sean Kenny.

Alexandria will hit the road again next weekend for a Saturday, Sunday series against the Mason City Toros. The puck drops on Saturday the 13th at 3 pm, and 6 pm on Sunday the 14th. Catch the action on hockeytv.com
