BLIZZARD DROP SERIES TO WEST BEND POWER

BLIZZARD DROP 2 ON THE ROAD, RETURN TO RCC SATURDAY

Blizzard traveled to Wisconsin to take on the West Bend Power over the weekend with the Power opening the scoring Friday night. The Power netted an early goal at the 17:06 mark of the 1st and made it 2-0 later on at the 5:00 mark before Easton Schmit (Caleb Waller assist) got the Blizzard on the board in the final seconds of the opening period. Caleb Waller cut the Power lead to one with a goal at the 13:13 mark of the 2nd on a play from Easton Schmit returning the favor. The Power capitalized on a 3rd period power play to regain a two goal lead at the 13:08 mark and followed that up with another goal halfway through the 3rd making it 4-2 Power. On a late 3rd period power play, Reece Hubmer netted a power play goal for the Blizzard with 44 seconds remaining but the game ended with a 4-3 Power win. Jayden Serene stopped 30 of 34 shots in the loss.

West Bend Power was able to open the scoring again on Saturday night with two 1st period goals and they opened the 2nd period by capitalizing on an early power play to take a 3-0 lead. The Blizzard got on the board midway through the 2nd period netting their own power play goal with Reece Hubmer scoring from Jack Johnson and Kaden Roness. Tyler Meyer cut the lead to one scoring at the 5:53 mark on a play coming from Reece Hubmer and Grady Stallman but the Power responded shortly after netting their 4th of the game at the 3:00 mark of the 2nd period regaining a two goal lead. Both teams skated to a scoreless 3rd period with Serene stopping 25 of 29.
