Bisek leads Alexandria to shutout victory over Twin City

Evan Bisek recorded a shutout against the Twin City Steel as the Alexandria Blizzard picked up a 3-0 win.

Alexandria was sparked by Tyler Sworsky, who grabbed one goal. Sworsky scored 8:50 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Alexandria. Jody Randall provided the assist.

The Blizzard put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Twin City to score on any of its four power plays. The Steel were unable to stop Alexandria from sending pucks towards the net, and the Blizzard eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

Alexandria also had goals scored by Luke Pavelich and Nate Mettenburg, who scored one goal each. More assists for Alexandria came via Kyle Jones, Logan Norman, Gavin Mindt, Zach Fedie, and Gregor Lanziner, who contributed one each.

Twin City was held below its usual level of production. The Steel put an average of 3.4 pucks into the net per game.

Bisek recorded 28 saves for Alexandria. The Blizzard incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Parker Butler made 34 saves for Twin City on 37 shots. The Steel incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
