Anderson nets hat trick, leads Alexandria to 6-0 win over Rochester

Rochester could not stop Alexandria\’s Caleb Anderson, who tallied a hat trick in a 6-0 win.

Anderson\’s first goal came 2:43 into the first period. He then added goals at 11:54 into the first and at 12:06 into the first.

Alexandria led 4-0 after the opening frame the first period and maintained a healthy margin after.

Alexandria put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Rochester to score on any of its four power plays. Alexandria kept Rochester\’s goalie busy throughout the game, and Zach Mains made 37 saves on 43 shots. Alexandria\’s goal total was higher than its season average. This season, Alexandria averages 3.5 goals per contest.

Alexandria also got points from Aaron Ryback, who also had one goal and one assist and Tony Arias, who also registered one goal and one assist. Louis Gerzin also scored for Alexandria. Other players who recorded assists for Alexandria were Jack Cernohous, Jack Mellstrom, Tyler Frischmon, Steven Gustafson, Logan Nelson, and AJ Gullickson, who each chipped in one and Logan Norman and Alec Seeger, who contributed two each.
