Alexandria downs Twin City in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

Alexandria pulled out a 2-1 (OT) overtime victory over Twin City on a clutch goal by Connor Busse.

Twin City was stymied by Alexandria\’s netminder Evan Bisek, who stopped 33 shots during the victory. Bisek certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.2 entering the contest.

Alexandria was led by Busse, who tallied one goal. Busse scored 1:46 into overtime to make the score 2-1 Alexandria. Aaron Ryback picked up the assist.

Alexandria excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Alexandria\’s offense rang up 35 shots on Twin City\’s net.

Alexandria also got a goal from Tyler Frischmon as well. Other players who recorded assists for Alexandria were Logan Norman, who had one.

Twin City was held below its usual level of production. Twin City puts an average of 5.0 pucks into the net per game. Twin City forced Alexandria goalie Bisek to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.

Twin City was led by Joe Costello, who scored the team\’s only goal. Costello scored 1:45 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Luc Kreuser provided the assist.

Alexandria incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. For Alexandria, Steven Gustafson was ejected from the game. Gunnar Howg recorded 33 saves for Twin City. Twin City incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
