Tony Arias had one point to lead the Alexandria Blizzard to a 3-0 victory over the Texas Jr. Brahmas.
Alexandria stifled Texas\’ power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.
Alexandria also had goals scored by Tyler Berginski and Aaron Ryback, who scored one goal each. In addition, Alexandria received assists from Trent Olson, Eric Hewitt, Logan Norman, Tom Schmidt, Jody Randall, and Nate Mettenburg, who each chipped in one.
The Jr. Brahmas were held below their usual level of production. Texas averages 2.9 goals per game.
The Blizzard\’s Tanner Elmore stopped 19 shots out of the 19 that he faced. Alexandria incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Joe Hacker made 25 saves for the Jr. Brahmas on 28 shots. Texas incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
