Alexandria downs Breezy Point in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Caleb Anderson gave Alexandria a 3-2 (OT) victory over Breezy Point when he scored 2:10 into the extra period.

Alexandria\’s penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Breezy Point power plays. Alexandria kept Breezy Point\’s goalie busy throughout the game, and Wes Paupore made 36 saves on 39 shots.

More assists for Alexandria came via Tony Arias and AJ Gullickson, who each chipped in one and Trent Olson and Aaron Ryback, who contributed two each.

Breezy Point forced Alexandria goalie Derrick LaCombe to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots.

Breezy Point was helped by Josh Laven, who finished with one goal. Laven scored 6:39 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Breezy Point. Sean Viti provided the assist. Austin Langworthy also scored for Breezy Point. In addition, Breezy Point received assists from Adam Lund, Kyle Klatt, and Seyia Hayata, who each chipped in one.

Alexandria\’s LaCombe stopped 31 shots out of the 33 that he faced. Alexandria incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Breezy Point incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
