Blizzard Blister Chill

Feb 27, 2012

ALEXANDRIA, Minn.– Alexandria Blizzard goaltender Jacob Meyers captivated the weekend with not one, but two perfect games. With 60 shots on goal and 60 saves, Meyers along with the Blizzard swept Coulee Region Chill in the Runestone Community Center.

On Friday, the Chill appeared to be an even match for the Blizzard as the first period ended in a stalemate.

Seth Ronsberg, struck quick for the Blizzard with a power-play goal in the second period to take a lead over the Chill.

At the 16:54 mark in the third, Captain Thomas Williams scored the last goal of the night to finalize a 2-0 victory and a shut-out for Meyers.

On Saturday, the Blizzard achieved another milestone with their first double digit victory of the season. Along with another triumph for Meyers, performing back to back shut-outs, the Blizzard defeated the Chill 10-0.
